Check who the seller is
Find the seller name, business details, return route and warranty route before buying. If the page only gives a brand-like label with little accountability, pause.
Check plug and marking basics
For UK electrical goods, look for clear UK plug information, instructions, importer details and safety marking. Do not rely on product photos alone.
Check the recall trail
Search GOV.UK product safety alerts and recalls for the brand, model and product type. A recall on a similar-looking product is not always the same item, but it is a useful prompt to check harder.
