Choose this if / Avoid this if

Rule out poor-fit options before comparing finer details.

Avoid if

  • A 75-inch screen or its packaging cannot clear the delivery route or fit the planned stand or wall.
  • You need first-party measured picture, reflection, latency, sound, energy or reliability results.
  • A smaller or bright-room-specific route resolves the real constraint more directly.

Dealbreakers

  • The current model code or size suffix differs from the selected record.
  • Required mount, stand, port, app, tuner or soundbar compatibility is not confirmed.
  • The seller, warranty, delivery or return route is unclear.

Check before buying

  • Confirm the exact model suffix, panel size, included stand and remote on the current UK listing.
  • Measure delivery turns, stand footprint or VESA mount, wall construction and viewing distance.
  • Check every required HDMI feature, app, tuner, soundbar path and connected-device mode against the exact model.
  • Recheck seller, delivery, installation, warranty, returns, stock and price immediately before checkout.

Choose another shortlist if

  • Use the bright-room route when window position and reflection handling decide the purchase.
  • Use the broad 75-inch route when platform and input requirements are not yet settled.
  • Use the 65-inch or 55-inch route when room or delivery measurements rule out 75 inches.

Detailed buyer guidance

Start with the delivery route, then the room

A 75-inch upgrade can fail before it reaches the wall. Measure the narrowest doorway, stair turn and landing, then compare the packed dimensions rather than the screen diagonal. In the room, distinguish the television’s full width from the smaller stand footprint. Leave space for cables, ventilation, a soundbar and access to the sockets.

These are the four exact models in this shortlist. Samsung remains the selected comparison starting point. The guidance below separates physical and connection decisions from picture quality, reflections, motion or reliability, which UK Shortlists has not measured.

The four choices at a glance

  • Hisense 75U7NQTUK: the Mini-LED and VIDAA route. Start here if those platform choices fit, then use the exact stand and packed dimensions below.
  • Samsung QE75QN90DATXXU: the current comparison anchor for buyers assessing its published room-use and input features. Its substantial weight and the difference between stand footprint and screen width need checking before ordering.
  • LG 75QNED85T6C: the webOS 24 route. Confirm the apps and devices you need on this exact model; the QNED name does not establish picture quality in your room.
  • TCL 75C745K: the Google TV alternative, with the exact UK model still identified on TCL’s support page. Obtain the size-specific installation drawing before deciding on furniture or a mount.

Two useful size checks before you open a buying page

Hisense lists the 75U7NQTUK at 1,673 × 1,032 × 338 mm with its stand, and the packed product at 1,865 × 1,146 × 210 mm, all width × height × depth. Published weight including the stand is 29.5 kg. The screen fitting the wall therefore does not prove that the carton can negotiate the delivery route. Hisense exact-model specifications

Samsung lists the QE75QN90DATXXU at 1,670 × 1,017.2 × 301.2 mm with stand. Its base footprint is 416.9 × 301.2 mm, while the whole set weighs 39.7 kg. The narrow base is not the width of furniture needed to support a safe, usable arrangement. The carton is 1,884 × 1,118 × 191 mm. Samsung lists 400 × 400 mm VESA and 34.1 kg without stand; check the mount’s supported load, fixings and the wall separately. Samsung exact-model specifications

Those figures are manufacturer specifications, not our installation measurements. Do not transfer either set to LG or TCL, or to another screen size in the same series. For all four, confirm how the retailer handles delivery access, installation and an unsuitable return before payment.

Build a connection plan rather than counting HDMI sockets

Write down every device that will stay connected: games console, computer, set-top box, streamer and soundbar. Mark which needs a specific resolution, refresh rate or audio-return connection. Then check the exact television manual and the cable specification. A total socket count alone does not tell you whether every device can use its desired mode at once.

The retained Samsung evidence distinguishes PC-connected 4K 144 Hz from the separate 4K 120 Hz/VRR wording. Do not promise 144 Hz from a console. Achievable frame rate also depends on the source device and content; a supported mode is not an input-lag or gaming-performance test.

What would change the recommendation

Check required catch-up and streaming apps individually, including the account and subscription they need. Hisense’s exact page identifies VIDAA, LG identifies webOS 24, and TCL’s exact support page identifies Google TV. Those names help narrow the interface choice; they do not guarantee a particular app will remain supported indefinitely. LG model page · TCL exact-model support

If you already use an external streaming box, the operating system may matter less than the remote, input behaviour and available connections. Test the arrangement you intend to use, including soundbar control, within the seller’s applicable return terms.

Before checkout

  1. Match the complete UK model suffix and 75-inch size.
  2. Check carton access, furniture load and usable stand or mount space.
  3. Confirm the input modes needed by each actual device.
  4. Check seller identity, condition, included stand and remote, delivery service, warranty and returns.

Known limitations

No current price, stock, availability from every seller or measured performance winner is established by this review. A newer model should replace one of these only when its exact UK identity, useful buyer role and evidence are established. A later model year alone is not a reason to reorder the picks.

The source basis is Hisense UK exact-model specifications and Samsung UK business product specifications, checked in the retained source work on 18 October 2026. LG UK and TCL UK sources support the exact identities and platform descriptions; no dimensions have been transferred to those models. The Samsung PC-connected 144 Hz distinction remains the separately dated 30 September 2026 source note, not a fresh confirmation of that footnote.

How we chose

The checks behind the four picks

We prioritised screen size and room fit, viewing distance and stand/wall-mount checks, gaming, sport or film-use trade-offs, ports, apps and soundbar needs and current checkout-verification caveats before assigning Top 4 option roles.

  • Step 1: Check the product details, limitations and retailer terms before deciding.

FAQs & alternatives

Is this TV shortlist based on hands-on testing?

No. It is a structured shortlist based on product records, evidence notes notes, buyer-fit criteria and conservative checkout caveats. We only claim hands-on testing where a page documents that work.

Should I buy only from the Top 4 order?

No. Use the Top 4 roles to narrow the decision, then check the current retailer page, seller, model details, warranty, delivery and return terms before buying.

Why does the page avoid live price or stock claims?

Check the product details, limitations and retailer terms before deciding.

Also consider

  • Use a broader tvs shortlist if your main constraint is not for 75-inch upgraders.
  • Use the category hub if you need to compare different product families before committing to a narrow route.
