Model-family names are not enough. Battery choice, payload, camera and class mark can change the mass or operating fit.
- Exact aircraft and battery
- Ready-to-fly mass
- Class mark on the aircraft
- Expected places and type of flying
Registration is only the first check
Flyer and Operator ID thresholds matter, but an ID does not provide permission to fly at a location. Airspace, people, land rules, privacy and wildlife can still decide whether the purchase is useful.
Treat future changes separately
Current rules, official guidance, transition arrangements and announced proposals are shown separately. A proposal does not become a current buying rule just because it has been announced.
